Mastering Marketing
for Nonprofits! πŸš€

Greetings, fellow do-gooders!

Key the Raccoon in the house, your trusty sidekick for all things nonprofit marketing. Ready to dive into the marketing adventure with me this week? Let’s navigate this maze together!

πŸ“¬ Summary

Today, we’re helping you untangle a digital mystery that’s been making you sweat, a tool that’s free for nonprofits, and an uplifting story to get you through the rest of the week!

  • One Problem – How to recognize Facebook scams
  • One Tool – Ensure your designs have maximum impact
  • One Highlight – See a small gesture snowball into something big

πŸ” One Problem – Mysterious Message from Facebook Support

Receiving a message from Facebook Support about your nonprofit’s page can be anxiety-inducing. Take a breath, dear adventurer. We’re about to embark on a wild journey of scam-sniffing. πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ Scammers might think they’re clever, but we’re cleverer!

Here’s your trusty scam-busting checklist:

  1. Check the Sender (Make sure they’re not raccoon impostors!)
  2. Dodge Suspicious Links (Don’t click unless you’re sure it’s not a banana peel trap!)
  3. Chat Up Facebook Directly (They’re like the park rangers of the digital forest!)
  4. Inspect Your Page (Is everything in tip-top shape?)
  5. Seek Backup from Your Digital Community (More eyes, more wisdom!)

Remember, in the digital wilderness, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so stay sharp and raccoon-ready in this wild, wild web!

The Scam Message

Messages like this one look pretty legit, but do not click click any links (especially not until you’ve checked the sender.)

The Contact Card

To check the sender, look to the right of the message, you should see a “Contact Card” area, if it’s actually Meta contacting you, their information will be there, if it says “No Contact Card”, it is likely a scam.
